A dark Ebony colour was choosen, to maximize contrast with the other parts of building, all in light colours.
Functionally, sunscreens partly transparency was choosen to guarantee privacy and sun protection for residence people.
This transparency was used also in other elements, such as sliding doors and expanded sheets for covering technical spaces.
The masterplan "Parmavera" comes from the conversion of a former industrial area and it was developed in collaboration with the Dutch architect Jo Coenen. The area of the intervention, is in the center of a varied urban complex defined by a predominantly residential character. The first design decision concerned the orientation of the building made by the respect of the context and the geography taking up the old design of the Romans still present in the sixties.
The founding criteria of the project can be summarized: organization of the system of public spaces, which guarantees the quality and uniformity of the project; redefinition of the connections with the existing urban context; a common place that ensures the continuity of the existing urban form.
Building S1extends along the park and overlooks it on the east side; it’s 4 plans height and it’s characterized by deep overhangs and balconies. The facades use a modular geometry; the shading is provided by sliding doors. The type of the accommodation are three and four bedroom apartments; the ground floor apartments are equipped with private garden.
