This vast urban area is mainly used for leisure activities, and also includes a shopping area and residential buildings. On the squares, as well as a large shopping centre with a shopping arcade that runs along it lengthways, there is a tall residential building marking out the limit with the area of existing buildings.
The new station building, with the services for passengers on the ground floor, a civic centre and a classroom on the first floor, is the last point on the triangle and is the hub for connections between the urban system and the metro system. The outside walls of the buildings are made of reinforced concrete, covered in Terreal hand-moulded facing bricks to give unity to the square. It marks out a new urban space, a connected area, formed by two triangular squares that open on to each other. The larger of the two squares is covered in grass and lined with tall trees, while the smaller square is paved with brick from the same range as the facing bricks, and also contains a circular fountain marking the axis of symmetry of the station and the shopping
