For façades in the entryway and garden, 180 mm thick ETI (external thermal insulation) and its rain protector got mechanical protection from the terracotta products. The architects transformed the original purpose of the small square module Autan , 50x280x50 mm, the sun breaker bar chosen from the Terreal range. For the project, they asked that it be cut to 274 mm and specified for a stud wall and the diagonal of this product with which they have imagined a brightly coloured façade.
Diagonal installation enhances the perception of colour because each element has two faces, one in the light, the other in shadow.
The modules are assembled on galvanized steel tubes of square horizontal sections with the intervention of neoprene foam spacers. These tubes are screwed on galvanized steel spines especially designed to make up, along with the same elements, the blind wall cladding and sun breakers that provide sun protection for certain large windows. This mineral coloured cladding returns on the roof, joining the pattern with a 45 ° slope and protecting the waterproof membrane.
On the side of the yard, a covered playground backs onto the building. It is covered by a concrete slab and has a covering of the same glazed Autan as the façade which extends into a pergola.

BBC crèche rue Frémicourt
Set in a courtyard, a nursery full of colour spans three floors on rue Frémicourt and on the boulevard de Grenelle in Paris. To protect the building, the architects of the agency Peripherals Architect proposed a vibrant hymn to colour around a variation of the terracotta sun breakers Autan of the Terreal range in bright and deep glazed shades.

InterviewStéphane Razafindralambo, project manager:
"The idea to glaze this part of the sun breaker on all four sides was borne from this project. We approached Terreal and outlined with them a range of nine bright colours that matched our expectations and were technically feasible. The distribution of coloured elements is not random as we had originally envisaged. We designed a floral pattern, a bouquet of peonies, as a ‘tapestry cartoon 'which was expanded."
